The principal of the firm is Domenic A. Bellisario. Mr. Bellisario:
Received his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh in 1975 and obtained his law degree, magna cum laude, from its School of Law in 1978.
Served as attorney for the National Labor Relations Board at the Board's Pittsburgh regional office from 1978 to 1984. During that time he acquired substantial trial experience and developed substantial labor law experience. He also presided over representation and election objection hearings and authored numerous decisions in such cases.
Served as Human Resource Counsel to the Western Reserve Care System, a multi-facility hospital system in Youngstown, Ohio. As Human Resource Counsel, he provided day-to-day legal advice on all employment and personnel matters affecting the organization's 3,500 employees, the majority of whom comprised four bargaining units of employees represented by three different unions.
Is a member of the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Allegheny County Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association.
He is also certified as an Arbitrator by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and serves as an Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.
Mr. Bellisario provides employment and labor law services to a myriad of clients and represents them before administrative agencies, arbitration panels, and local, state and federal courts. He also provides advice and counsel regarding union organizing campaigns and serves as chief negotiator in collective bargaining.
In addition to his extensive experience in the areas of employment and labor law, Mr. Bellisario devotes a substantial part of his practice to representing injured people, including individuals injured in automobile accidents, at work, by defective products, and medical malpractice.
